The Institut für Angewandte Immunologie IAI AG (Institute for Applied Immunology) was founded in Horgen in 1986. Initially the focus of its work was on serum production.
When the management was taken over by H. Wolf in 1993, there was a simultaneous shift in the focus of the company towards molecular biology with an orientation towards dentistry.
Products such as genotyping and various biodiversity studies were developed alongside the establishment of the IAI PadoTest 4·5 – the leading product from IAI AG.
In addition to developing and analysing new diagnostic tests, IAI AG also works in partnership with universities and scientific research institutions and runs continuous studies to improve and further develop existing products.
Since 2005, the head office of IAI AG has been in Zuchwil in the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland, with its laboratory in Chêne-Bourg in the canton of Geneva.
